Cancellation & Refund Policy
At House Edit, we strive to deliver professional, thoughtful, and transparent design guidance and values long-term client trust.
Please read this Cancellation & Refund Policy carefully before booking any service.
1. Nature of Services
All paid services are customized, digital, consultation-based, and advisory in nature (see ‘Terms of Service’ for details). Services are deemed to commence upon scheduling, preparation, consultation, or initiation of design work, whichever occurs first. Due to their customized nature, refunds are strictly limited.
2. Free Consultation
Free consultations, where offered, may be cancelled or rescheduled prior to the scheduled time. As no payment is collected, no refunds or compensation apply.
3. Client Cancellations
(i) Before Service Commencement
Cancellation requests will be considered only if made at least 6 hours before the scheduled consultation and only if no consultation or work has commenced. Approved refunds, if any, will be subject to deduction of non-recoverable processing and gateway fees i.e. 10% of the total amount paid by you.
(ii) After Consultation or Work Begins
No refunds shall be issued once a consultation has occurred or any design, planning, or advisory work has commenced, except where required by applicable law.
4. Packages, No-Shows & Client Delays
- All service packages are non-transferable and non-refundable once commenced.
- Packages cannot be downgraded after work begins; upgrades require payment of the price difference.
- Missed consultations, delayed feedback beyond 10 working days, or failure to provide inputs shall not entitle the Client to any refund.
- First no-show may be rescheduled once; second no-show is deemed completed.
- Engagements inactive for 60 consecutive days may be closed, with all fees forfeited.
5. Cancellation by House Edit
House Edit may suspend or terminate services without refund if the Client acts in an inappropriate manner, provides misleading information, or repeatedly exceeds scope. Any refund, if at all, shall be at House Edit’s sole discretion after accounting for services rendered.
6. No Guarantee & Third-Party Disclaimer
Design outcomes are subjective. Refunds will not be issued for change of mind, personal preference, execution issues, or third-party/vendor matters. Material and vendor recommendations are for guidance only, and House Edit assumes no responsibility for pricing, availability, quality, or performance.
7. Force Majeure
House Edit shall not be liable for delays or non-performance due to events beyond reasonable control. Refunds, if any, shall be discretionary.
8. Refund Processing (If Applicable)
Where refunds are applicable, they shall be processed within 7-14 working days to the original payment method, after deduction of permissible non-recoverable charges. Refund timelines may vary depending on banking or payment gateway processes, and House Edit will reasonably cooperate to ensure timely processing where applicable.
House Edit is committed to fair and transparent service delivery. If a Client has concerns regarding a service, they are encouraged to contact us promptly so the matter may be reviewed and addressed in good faith before escalating to a dispute.
House Edit reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
